Aaliyah Haughton was famous in 1994, when she dropped her debut album Age isn't just an amount. The album, made available at just 15 years old it went Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the singer to the forefront. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland for her second studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling track If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah was a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. She was a part of the action and romance movie Romeo Must Die alongside martial arts legend Jet-Li. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the film Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an awards ceremony. Queen of the Damned was her first role in 2002. It is based off the Anne Rice novel. Her birthplace was in Connecticut to the family of Indian descent. Mann, her stage name is an acronym for Mankad her surname when she married. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as her professional names. Though she initially had tiny film and television parts, her acting career began to gain momentum around the middle of 2000s. Other notable works she has done include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. In addition, she was a part of several commercials including Volvo and other major automobile brands. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues acting as an actor.
